*According to ‘Broken Peace’ – a fact-finding report on the first communal riot in Goa’s modern history has predictably stuck to the staple pseudo-secular riot formula i.e.
‘The Militant Hindu’ + ‘Rapacious Intent’ + ‘Innocent babe in the woods Muslim’ = Slaughter.
The fact-finding committee led by Nandita Haksar was spurred into action by the radical All India Milli Council, an outfit with reported links with the militant All India Jihad Committee. In common rational parlance, this is as equivalent and as shady as Praveen Togadia of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) requesting advocate Arun Jaitely to probe into harassment of Hindu’s during the Mumbai riots.
